MOM! Mom... Mom? MOOOOM!

Everybody's got a different relationship to motherhood - just as everybody has a different relationship to their mother. This Mother's Day, our very own Megan and Tawn are working on a very special flight: five wines paired to Five Stages Of Motherhood. Get ready for a flight exploring motherhood in a facetious, flippant, and freaking awesome way.

But where did Mother's Day come from? According to an article on History.com, Mother's Day as we know it was first organized in 1908 by Anna Jarvis, and it was established as a national holiday in 1914 by President Woodrow Wilson. Jarvis originally conceived of the day as one of private celebration, with families doing meaningful things together to honor and celebrate their mothers. But with the advent of a national holiday, businesses soon capitalized on it to sell flowers, greeting cards, and more. Today, Mother's Day has become synonymous with the buying of things for Mom, and Anna Jarvis actually spent much of the rest of her life decrying the commercialization of the holiday, and petitioning to have it removed as a national holiday.

Want to know what the Five Stages of Motherhood are? Come to the shop during open hours from Tuesday, May 9th through Sunday, May 14th and grab yourself a tasty flight.

And, if you come on Mother's Day (May 14th), and if you come with your mom, you and whomever you're with will all get the flight for $25 instead of the usual $30!
